A liner motor has a mover (1) that is a magnetostatic induction element (1) and is relatively movable through electromagnetic coils (2-A,2-B,2-C) or the like. The mover (1) has a lenght of a magnetic path which derives attraction from the coil in regard to the lenght of the electromagnetic coil.;As the magnetostatic induction element (1) proceeds through the electromagnetic coils (2-A,2-B,2-C), the electromagnetic coils (2-A,2-B,2-C) are energized while the magnetic field created thereby exert forward attractive force on the magnetostatic induction element (1) and disenergized before the traction in a reverse direction is exerted on the magnetostatic induction element (1).
