This invention relates to a highly simplified immunoassay being carried out in solid phase, performed with colored beads latex which serves to detect ciguatoxin and related polyethers. This process was compared with an immunoassay performed previously, carried out using a rod of enzyme. The analysis by the Chi-square two separate experiments with 153 and 283 fish of different species gave X2 p values ​​0.001 and p 0.005 respectively. The agreement between the processes on 26 fish affected by ciguatera poisoning was 100%. A preliminary assessment in this area has yielded encouraging results.
