There is specified a method for making duplicates of a denture model having retention pins (2), in which the model is surrounded by a duplication composition (6) and in which the model is removed from the surrounding duplicating composition (6) and in which, then, embedding material (10) is filled into the negative mould formed and cured therein. In order to simplify production of duplicates that are as free of errors as possible and to obtain exactly fitting duplicates, prefabricated pins (8) are inserted in the corresponding recesses (7) in the negative mould.
