The clamping arrangement has two split clamps (6,7; 9,10) e.g. with toggle fastening (12) arranged on a base (1), one fixed and the other axially movable, with a securing device (19,23). Opt. split inserts (24,25) accommodate smaller pipe sizes. Pref. the guides for the movable clamp (6,7) may be bars or tubes, and the clamp may be part of, or mounted on, slide (5). The securing device for the movable clamp may be a screw and nut (19,23). The inserts may have outer and inner rims fitting the clamp and pipe, respectively. The separate parts may be of light metal.
