The clamp (12) to secure a tight joint between plastics pipes, with a pipe end fixed into the socket of the next pipe end, has a flange ring (13) with an inner diameter slightly larger than the pipe outer diameter. The flange ring has a number of spaced spring tongues (14) around its circumference in a one-piece structure with friction grip clamping surfaces (18) against the pipe mantle when moved against angled surfaces in the socket. The clamping surfaces are fitted to special clamping bodies (17), keyed to the ends of the spring tongues in a tongue and groove mounting.
