The reserve synchronising unit (3) consists of a pulse spacing measuring unit (5), which is connected directly and indirectly across a multiplier (7) and a following test pulse memory (9). A control unit (8) is connected on the input and output sides with the control unit (4). A changeover pulse generator (10), having a first and second AND gate (11, 12) is connected to the control unit (4) across a reserve pulse memory (6). The pulse measuring unit (5), the reserve memory (6), the pulse generator (10), the test pulse storage (9) and the control unit (8) are connected with the output of the pulse stage (2) and the inputs of the AND gates (11, 12) with the outputs of the control unit (8). ADVANTAGE - Facilitates normal ending of working process of printing press with pulse irregularities and falling out of synchronism, waste of materials and time are prevented and costs reduced.
