The protective oversole (4) for climbing boots grips round the entire sole as well as the side, back and front frictional surfaces of the boot. The sole has a profiled tread and is thicker than the remaining frictional protective surface. The sole is made of a single piece of tough elastic rubber and is fastened to the climbing boot by two quick-fastening clasps, or by eyelets on the boots through which the protective oversoles are hooked. USE/ADVANTAGE - Climbing boots are prevented from slipping by an added oversole which is quickly and easily attached.
