Robot drive device with numerically controlled linear axes - comprises two linear axes units at right angles for two carriages and drive motor connected with couplers and brake elements
The first linear unit (1) comprises an endless ribbed belt (5.2) running around two sprockets (1.2, 1.3) carrying a first carriage (3). The second unit (2) includes a continuation of the first ribbed belt running around a number of sprockets (2.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3) driving another carriage (4). This carriage is interlinked with the first unit by couplers (Kx, Ky) and controlled by brake elements (Bx, By). The sprockets are connected to the drive motor by a shaft. USE - Can be used for various different operations such as welding, rivetting or spraying.
