The brake pressure control device is for a vehicle hydraulic braking system. It has a control valve in a pipe (2) from a brake pressure sender (1) to a wheel brake cylinder which connects the cylinder either with the brake pipe or a return pipe (9). In a first operating mode a first pump circuit (11) delivers from the return pipe to the brake pipe, and in a second operating mode a valve (10) blocks the return pipe from the first pump circuit and a second pump circuit (12) provides the delivery to the return pipe. USE/ADVANTAGE - The brake circuit is for a vehicle. A pressure drop in the second operating mode pressure medium from the brake cylinder can have immediate access to the suction side of the second pump circuit.
