The membrane auxiliary compressor has a high pressure storage vessel (21) with an inner chamber (25) filled with oil attached to the cross bore of a perforated plate and by which the movable body (34) of the valve (23) is in working contact with a spring bolt (29). The bolt is exposed to the force of a spring (26) adjustable by a threaded screw (30) such that the valve opens and closes in relation to the pressure on the working piston.
