The contact pressure assembly is for holding the start of a split ring which is to be encased by a tyre belt has a front and rear contact pressure ram.The rear ram (5) is divided longitudinally into ram parts (9, 10) which can be moved up to and away from each other. These ram parts are mounted on a common support (6) on which they are horizontally displaceable.
