摘要
Olefin prodn. by H2 hydrogenation of acetylenic cpds. is effected using a catalyst consisting of (A) a Pd sa (B) an activator; and opt. also (C) a base to neutralise acid formed by redn. of the Pd sa and/or (D) water and/or an inert water-immiscible solvent. USE/ADVANTAGE - Monoolefins useful in prodn. of polyolefins or detergent surfactants are obtd. at higher selectivity (e.g. 95% or higher) than is the case with Lindlar (N2/liq. NH3) catalysts. The catalysts give high conversion rates at low temps. (0-150 deg.C (claimed) and are effective in small amts. in conventional tubular reactor
