The telephone equipment includes a second ear piece (40) for people hard of hearing, wearing an electrodynamic hearing aid, in addition to the conventional units, digital dialling board, hand piece for general use, and a connector on the main unit for the second ear piece. The second ear piece has a housing (42) with a base (44), designed to fit on the ear and transmit sound signals to the inner ear. The base of this second ear piece is fitted with a coupling coil (51,51'51") which is fed with the electrical signals inducing voltages in the hearing aid (60) in the inner ear.
