Brake system for bicycle - has pedals connected to free-wheel hub with back-pedal brake, which is connected to rim brake

The system is esp. for a child's bicycle, and has a rim brake acting on the rear wheel. The pedals (6) of the bicycle are connected to a free-wheel hub with back pedal brake. The hub has free-wheel function when the pedals turn forward, and brake function, when the pedals are turned backwards. With back-pedal function, the backward turning of the pedals is transmitted to the rim brake on the rear wheel via a transmission element, e.g. a Bowden cable. The wire in the cable is connected to the outer rim (8) of the hub. The inner rim (9) is connected to the pedals. USE/ADVANTAGE - System acts like back-pedal brake on bicycles with derailleur gearchange mechanism.
