The washing device is used for cleaning poultry feathers. It has a washing chamber (1) containing a mixture of feathers and water and above it a water tank (2) is mounted. Water can run down through a valve (17) into a spray system (37). Detergent and/or disinfectant may run from a separate tank (20) through a valve (21) into a second spray system in the washing chamber. Air is warmed in a heater (4) and is blown in (11) at the bottom (7,8) of the washing chamber and escapes through a pipe (12) at the top. It passes through a heat exchanger coil in thr water tank. Used wash water may be removed through a suction line (29). USE/ADVANTAGE - Fast economical washing of poultry feathers.
