The load bearer comprises a bearer plate which runs on underside rollers on the roof laths parallel to the eaves and on its upper side has a vertically directed support console for the roof covering material. The support console is displaceable vertically to the longitudinal direction of the roof laths (2) and is connected to the upper side of the bearer plate (3) so that the resultant (11) of the wt. of the roof covering material (9) on the transport carriage at each roof inclination runs through the middle third of the support width between the roof laths (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - To position carton-packed sealing and insulating plates on a sloping roof without unpacking or repacking.
