The gripper consists of an upper frame (13) which has two side-members (15) connected by a tubular cross member (14). A lower frame (9) has lugs (11) projecting from the corners to enable it to be aligned with the top surface of the container. When the lower frame is correctly aligned the hooks are aligned with the sockets in the container so that the upper frame can be lowered with the hooks entering their respective sockets in the container. USE/ADVANTAGE - Lift containers. The gripper hooks are guided into their respective sockets.
