The arrangement contains a device for setting counting conditions which detects counting condition setting signals within a sequence of signals arising during a number of processing steps and defines the sequence in which the signals are to be input. A decision unit decides whether an input sequence of signals fulfils the defined conditions. The production metering device outputs a signal indicating the completion of the operating sequence when the decision unit decides that all defined counting conditions have been met.
