Two or more reflected sound generator circuits (A) are connected in cascade by e.g. infinite impulse response digital filters (B) reducing the h.f. components in the output of each circuit. The digital audio input is applied to a gp. (11 etc.) of delay circuits followed by individual coefft. multipliers (21) whose outputs are added (31). The signals from all circuits in the cascade are applied through further coefft. multipliers (40) to an adder (41). Signal degradation inherent in any recursive filter is excluded. USE/ADVANTAGE - In concert halls and similar auditoria, wider sensation of spatial expanse is achieved.
