The separator for fat and coarse dirt has a vessel (6). The vessel (6) is divided by partitions (4) into two chambers (I; II). Each partition (4) is furnished with a through-hole (7) at a distance from the vessel bottom. In the vessel (6), a feed in the form of a dip pipe (3) for water containing fat and coarse dirt opens in the first chamber (1).
