A cooker top is provided with a plurality of gas burners (3, 4, 5, 6) carried by a plurality of central blocks (1, 2) having ducts (7, 8, 9, 10) for supplying gas to the said burners, and at least one lateral ramp (15, 16) for supplying gas comprising gas supply apertures (7a, 8a, 9a, 10a), the said ducts and the said apertures having a shape and layout for conduction of the gas by the said ramps to the said burners such that the said central blocks (1, 2) are fully interchangeable with one another. In another embodiment, (Fig 2, not shown), there is a single block (20) and ramp (21). Electric plates may be provided instead of the burners. The blocks may be made of plastics material. IMAGE
