The invention relates to a suitcase with a device for locking the two openings parts of the suitcase, when opened to 225@, to convert it into a folding chair, enabling a person to sit down at any time and in any place. It consists of three main parts, namely the lid, the bottom of the suitcase and the telescopic legs, by which the backrest and seat part of the chair can be made firm. For closing and opening, the suitcase has a retractable handle which in addition to its handle function is also used to lock the suitcase and to close and open it. The invention is intended for use in many situations in daily life, especially when there is no ordinary chair available. In contrast with what may exist in the prior art, the simplicity, compactness, form and elegance of this invention mean that it is easily portable and can be used equally well in business, in sports and in social gatherings.
