CONTINUOUS-FLOW MICROWAVE HEATING AND DIGENSTION SYSTEM FOR DIGESTION OF SUBSTANCE TO BE ANALYZED

PURPOSE: To provide a continuous flow microwave heating digestion system in which the slug of a material to be analyzed is inserted into a liquid passing a pipe for receiving a microwave emission while keeping a back pressure, cooled and filtered and directly sent to a proper analyzing equipment. CONSTITUTION: This system has, essential components, a microwave heating chamber 23, a microwave emitting source directed thereto, a chemical resisting and microwave transmitting slender pipe 87 contained within the chamber 23, a device for passing the slug 75 of the material generated within a carrier solution 77 to the pipe 87, a cooling device 27 for cooling the microwave-heated material, a back pressure regulating device 41 for preventing the excessive distribution of the material or digesting medium in the carrier solution 77, and thus keeping the back pressure to the content of the pipe so that the material is digested within the pipe in a proper time.
