PURPOSE:To accurately control driving of operating members of a yarn swinger, upper hooks and mesh feed roll at a high speed by reading data written in a memory in operation, controlling driving of servo motors and driving the aforementioned operating members. CONSTITUTION:Vertical, front and back, left and right positional data of a yarn swinger 2 and positional data corresponding to the rotational angle of a mesh feed roll 41 and directional data of the respective vertical, front, back, left and right swingings in knitting a net in a net knitting machine are prepared and written in a positional data memory and a directional data memory. An address is designated from the respective positional data memory and directional data memory at a prescribed timing synchronized with rotation of the main shaft of the net knitting machine to successively read the respective data by a controlling means. Thereby, a servo motor 13 for vertical driving, a servo motor 6 for front and back driving and a servo motor for left and right driving are controlled. After the knotting step is completed and knot fixing is carried out, data are read from the positional data memory for mesh feeding to control a servo motor 45 for the mesh feeding.
