NEW MATERIAL:A fused enzyme gene coding an oxidase having one atom oxygen-added activity of fetal adrenal cytochrome P45017alpha and reduction power- feeding ability of enzyme NADPH-chitochrome P450 reductase together. USE:Useful for biologically synthesizing glucocorticoid from progesterone through 17-hydroxyprogesterone. PREPARATION:A part containing a domain participating in at least substrate bond and domain participating in hem bond among P45017alpha gene is coupled to a part containing a domain participating in at least flavinmononucleoside and flavinadenine dinucleoside bond and domain participating in NADPH bond by a linker.
