EXTRACTION METHOD OF URANIUM FROM SOLID MATTER CONTAINING URANIUM

PURPOSE: To offer a method to extract uranium from uranium-containing residues at a low temp. and with atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION: An uranium-containing residue 10 is oxidated, crushed, and sorted into batches according to the size suitable the filter press process, and each is dissolved in an acid bath, followed by neutralization with sodium carbonate/sodium hydrogencarbonate so that a slurry is generated, which is subjected to filtration to produce a filter cake. The filter cake is washed to generate a uranium-containing filtrated stream, and the uranium is deposited from this filtrated stream.
