METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING CATECHOL AMINES AND THEIR METABOLITE, AND MEASURING REAGENT

PURPOSE: To prevent the reaction of nonfluorescent maleimide with a measurement-obstructing coexistence component in a living-body liquid sample, to prevent an obstruction on the basis of it and to perform a measurement with higher accuracy than a measuring method in conventional cases by a method wherein, when catechol amines in a living-body liquid and their metabolite are measured, they are pretreated with the maleimide. ;CONSTITUTION: The measuring method of catechol amines and their metabolite includes a pretreatment process for a living-body sample, a fluorescing process which changes the pretreated catechol amines and their pretreated metabolite into fluorescent derivatives by a reagent for fluorescent derivative formation use, and a measuring process which separates and measures the fluorescent derivatives by a liquid chromatographic method. In the measuring method of the catechol amines and their metabolite, maleimide in a prescribed quantity is added before the fluorescing process of the living-body sample.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
