PURPOSE: To availably utilize a siliceous such as water glass, quartz or the like by composition-adjusting an alkali-soluble solution and an alkali-insoluble material and chemically treating. ;CONSTITUTION: The water glass is obtained by making an alkali-soluble solution by stirring the waste adsorbent, in which separated and removed in an absorbed organic material is separated and removed, in a NaOH solution or mixed solution of a diluted water glass solution with a 40-30% NaOH aq. solution of 0.4-0.6 times the quantity thereof (based on dry weight) at 70C for 1-3 hours, composition-adjusting with a pulverized cullet, a NaOH aq. solution or the like, chemically treating with an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide aq. solution or a reducing agent such as hydrazine to remove a trace of the organic material and filtering. Sodium metasilicate 9-hydrate is deposited as a crystal by using the obtained water glass as a raw material and the solid of zeolite A is obtained by reacting the obtained water glass with a sodium aluminate solution by heating.
