CULTURE MEDIUM FOR CULTIVATING EDIBLE MUSHROOMS AND METHOD FOR CULTIVATION USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain a culture medium for cultivating mushrooms capable of providing and forming the high-quality mushrooms with good harvesting properties in a short development period at a low cost and reutilizing the fungal bed reside after harvesting of the cultivation and a method for cultivating the mushrooms using the culture medium. CONSTITUTION:Chaff, compressed to about the true specific gravity and formed into a dense material is pulverized to provide pressurized and pulverized chaff powder which is then as a substrate to form a culture medium for cultivating mushrooms. Since the pressurized and pulverized chaff powder contains a relatively large amount of fine particles, water and air holding properties are good and the moisture content can be selected within a wide range of 30-80%.
