PURPOSE: To effectively transplant seedlings of rush by a planting pawl while efficiently forming a furrow for receiving rush seedlings on the surface of a paddy field leveled by a float. ;CONSTITUTION: In a rush seedling transplanter capable of planting rush seedlings A by a planting pawl at the rear part of an edge 1a in the lateral direction formed on a float 1 sliding on the surface of a paddy field, part in the vicinity of the edge 1a in the lateral direction of the float 1 to be ahead of a planting position P of the rush seedling A is provided with a furrow opening member 2 capable of forming a furrow B which is lower than the bottom 1b of the float 1 and has such a small width as to receive the root part of the rush seedlings A.
