PURPOSE:To provide the subject apparatus for drying fishes, etc., providing a preliminarily drying part and a main drying part by far-infrared rays so as to shorten drying treatment time of animal and plant with the main drying part and capable of inexpensively drying. CONSTITUTION:A part of preliminary drying device 1 and a part of main drying device 2 drying by irradiation of far-infrared ray are provided and the part of peliminary drying device 1 is made relatively large compared with the part of main drying device 2 and timers for controlling the drying time to a desired time and temperature controllers are provided drying by irradiation of far- infrared ray both of the part of main drying device 2 and the part of preliminary drying device 1 drying by irradiation of far-infrared ray. Thereby, drying treatment time of animal or plant for drying treatment with the part of main drying device 2 drying by irradiation of far-infrared ray is controlled and simultaneously shortened. Animals and plants, especially fishes such as tuna, bonito, macherel, horse mackerel, Pacific saury and sea bream are dried at a reduced cost on management and economy.
