PURPOSE: To surely change bobbins by providing a number of conveying units, each provided with a conveyance receiving part which can be freely get closer to a conveying device, and setting the transport receiving part to alternately receive a cross winding bobbin and an empty yarn winding tube. ;CONSTITUTION: A conveying device 17 is disposed back-to-back to a winding device 5 under a lateral beam 11 supported on a support structure 10, on which a guide rail 13 for an operation device 14 is disposed. The conveying device 17 is composed of separate conveying units 18 circulating a travelling way 20. On each conveying unit 18, a V-shaped conveyance receiving part 22 is provided for selectively receiving an empty winding tube 23 or a cross winding bobbin 9. The operation device 14 is run by the guide rail 13 along work positions 3, and movement of conveyance receiving containers 22 by the transport device 17 is interlocked with action of a winding tube gripper 28, a bobbin discharger 25, a frame opener 26, etc., thereby the cross winding bobbin 9 is replaced by the empty winding tube 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
