PURPOSE: To provide a preventing agent comprising an alkaline solution of the condensation product of an aromatic diaminodicarboxylic acid compound with a specific organic compound, effectively preventing the adhesion of scales at the time of polymerization of ethylenic double bond-containing monomers, and giving colorless products. ;CONSTITUTION: The preventing agent comprises the alkaline solution of an condensation product of (A) an aromatic diaminodicarboxylic acid compound with (B) an organic compound having two -COX groups (X is halogen). A coating material comprising the alkaline solution is coated on the inner wall of a polymerizer and subsequently dried to form a coating film. The component B is preferably isophthaloyl chloride, 1,4-cyclohexanedicarbonyl chloride, etc., and the condensation reaction is preferably performed in an organic solvent at room temperature to 100°C for 1-100hr.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
