PURPOSE: To predict the inflow of a downstream dam with high precision by easy short-time calculation. ;CONSTITUTION: The inflow of the downstream dam of a river where water is discharged from an upstream dam according to a schedule. The predicted inflow R(t) of the downstream dam is found from the sum of the predicted inflow U(t) by the discharging of the upstream dam which is found in a step S2 by using the actual amount of discharged water which is a certain time before and the subsequent programmed amount of water, a predictive calculation time interval, and a primary delay time constant and a waste time, the predicted inflow S(t) by rainfall which is found in a step S1 by using a tank model according to the actual amount of rainfall and the predicted amount of rainfall, and the base flow rate V based upon the difference between the actual inflow which is the certain time before and the predicted inflow.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
