PURPOSE:To provide an AC power apparatus capable of performing operations of a plurality of functions in the same power supply circuit and improving a utility efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A power supply circuit 1 is formed so that a linear reactor XL1 is connected in series to the input side of a control reactor XL0 connected in parallel to a capacitor C and the output is obtained from both ends of the capacitor C, and means 3 for detecting an output voltage, means 4 for detecting a load current and a SCR for controlling a reactive current are provided, and a reactive current control following variations in the load current and the output voltage is performed. A variable of a reference voltage, a reference current and a reference power is performed by variable means 6 and 7, and further a constant-current compensating operation and a constant-power compensating operation are performed by power function switching means 8.
