PURPOSE: To improve the signal-clutter (S/C) ratio thereby to highly accurately detect a small target on the sea by determining the stretch width in a stretching process only by the predicted moving speed of the target. ;CONSTITUTION: A correcting circuit 35 has an input of a receiving signal from a transmitting/receiving device 20, detecting the moving speed of the sea surface such as the current or the like and feeding a correcting signal corresponding to the moving speed to a scanning correlation circuit 33. The circuit 33 has an input of a receiving signal which has the range width stretched by a stretching circuit 32, corrects the range by the range width corresponding to the moving amount of the sea surface by the correcting signal of the circuit 35, then correlatively processing receiving signals every scanning time. The stretch width is determined only by the predicted moving speed of the target as above. Since the error is removed by the moving speed of the sea surface such as the current or the like when the processing of correlating scannings is conducted, the stretch is reduced by the stretch corresponding to the moving speed of the sea surface.
