摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a fluoran compound having excellent properties required as a color-developing agent for recording material. ;CONSTITUTION: β-Crystal transformation of 2-(3-methylanilino)-3-methyl-6- diethylaminofluoran characterized by the X-ray diffraction pattern having characteristic peaks at diffraction angles (2θ±0.2°) of 7.6°, 12.2°, 14.9°, 15.9°, 17.6° and 22.8° by powder X-ray diffraction with CU-Kα ray and having a melting point between 186°C and 191°C, its production process and a recording material containing the crystal transformation as an electron-donative color-developing agent. The fluoran compound has excellent solubility in a solvent for capsule and the recording material produced by using the fluoran compound has excellent highlight whiteness, highlight stability, developed color tone, color-developing sensitivity, image fastness, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
