PERSONAL COMPUTER PROVIDED WITH ALTERNATIVE SYSTEM CONTROLLER SUBSYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide a personal computer, to which an ability to disconnect a system control processor after reset and initialization of the processor is given, and an alternative system controller subsystem for this personal computer. ;CONSTITUTION: The personal computer system includes a local processor bus, an input/output data bus, a first microprocessor directly connected to the local processor bus, and a first connected which is directly connected to an alternative processor and a local processor bus for storage of this processor. A subsystem 60 is provided with a fitting connected 65 which is mounted on the subsystem by the first connector, a second microprocessor 62 operationally coupled to the fitting connector 65, and a support logical device 66 which recognizes a control signal having a prescribed pattern and instructs the second microprocessor 62 to release and acquire the control of the local processor bus in response to pattern recognition and is directly connected to the second microprocessor 62.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
