PURPOSE:To manufacture inexpensively crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite having high adsorbing power (about 7A cage diameter and about 250-300m2/g specific surface area) by bringing starting materials including ''OOYAISHI'' (light bluish green tuff) as a principal material into a hydrothermal reaction. CONSTITUTION:OOYAISHI (A), a source (B) for feeding silicon oxide such as silica, a source (C) for feeding an alkali metallic oxide such as sodium hydroxide, an org. base compound (D) such as tetra-n-propylammonium and water (E) are used as starting materials by amounts satisfying SiO2/Al2O34, M2/nO/SiO2= 0.01-5, R/(R+M)=0.1-0.9 and H2O=70-98mol% (where M is alkali metallic ion, n is the valence of the metal, and R is the compound D). The starting materials are brought into a hydrothermal reaction at =80 deg.C, and the reaction is continued until the reaction product shows a specified X-ray diffraction pattern such as a pattern in each figure.
