摘要

PURPOSE:To easily obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, using inexpensive reagent under hydrous condition, by producing a specific compound from 3-indole carbaldehyde and thallium tristrifluoroacetate and treating the compound with a copper salt. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be produced by using the compound of formula (X is bistrifluoroacetoxythallium or iodine atom) as a raw material and treating the compound with a copper salt at 125-130 deg.C in a mixture of N,N-dimethylformamide and water. Any copper salt can be used provided that the salt can contain an active water molecule within the coordination range of copper ion. It is preferably cupric fluoride, cupric acetate, etc., and especially cupric sulfate pentahydrate. The amount of the copper salt is preferably 2-3mol per 1mol of the compound of formula. The compound of formula can be produced by treating 3-indole carbaldehyde with thallium tristrifluoroacetate and treating the product with potassium iodide.
