PURPOSE: To kill insect pests living in an agricultural field, etc., with electric shocks and control the insect pests without using an agricultural chemical by spreading water on the agricultural field, etc., in which the insect pests live, and subsequently applying a high voltage electric current to the spread water. ;CONSTITUTION: The killing method is performed as follows: forming a water- proof wall with a water-resistant and electric poor conductor sheet such as a rubber sheet around a field such as an agricultural field, a green field or a paddy field in which insect pests live, spreading water in such a sufficient volume as permitting to conduct an electric current, placing an electrode at a proper position, placing the other electrode at the other position, and subsequently applying a high voltage electric current transmitted from an engine type generator, a high voltage electric source, etc., between the electrodes at both positions to impart electric shocks to the insect pests.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
