PURPOSE: To obtain a new protease inhibitor having properties required as the inhibiting mode for various proteases or an active ingredient of a medicinal composition. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective polypeptide has an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acids are deficient from the amino acid sequence of the formula. A DNA having a base sequence capable of coding the polypeptide is obtained to transform a host cell.
