METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LAYING WATERPROOF SHEET IN SHIELD TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PURPOSE: To improve construction efficiencies by providing a concentrical ring frame in a tail plate of a shield machine to rotate the frame and laying a waterproof sheet mounted on the frame in a cylindrical relationship, while the sheet is spaced in a predetermined interval from a tail plate. ;CONSTITUTION: The drawing end of a waterproof sheet 14 extending from a roll 15 is held by a clamping device 17. A ring frame 10 carrying a waterproof sheet winding device 11 is then rotated to pull out the sheet 14 from the roll 15. Next, a waterproof sheet press jack 12 is extended radially outwardly to hold the sheet 14 at a position spaced in a predetermined distance from the inner circumferential surface of a tail plate 1. At this moment, the side edge of the sheet 14 is welded to the side edge of an existing waterproof sheet by means of an automatic welding machine 6. Further, the axial joint of the sheet 14 having been formed into a cylindrical form by making one revolution of the frame 10 is welded manually. As a result, since the waterproof sheet is spaced from the inner circumferential surface of the tail plate, damage to the sheet is avoided and a thick and hard waterproof sheet can be laid surely and easily to prevent water from leaking.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
