METHOD FOR MIXING AND AGITATING FOR SOIL IMPROVEMENT AND DEVICE FOR USE THEREIN

PURPOSE: To efficiently chop drilled earth and mix the chopped drilled earth with a pile periphery setting material using a mixing and agitating method for soil improvement, which employs an agitating blade and a stopping blade. ;CONSTITUTION: A drilling edge 3 and a nozzle 5 for ejecting water and a foundation improving material 6 are mounted on the respective portions of the end of a rotating shaft 2 and an agitating blade 7 is secured to the portion of the shaft 2 above the edge and the nozzle. A ring-shaped holder 8 close to the agitating blade 7 is loosely fitted around the rotating shaft 2. A stopping blade 9 is projected in the radial direction of the holder 8 and an extension stopping blade 9a is rotatably provided to the stopping blade 9 with a hinge 10. When the rotating shaft 2 is stopped the stopping blade 9 loosely fitted around the rotating shafts also tends to stop, but passive earth pressure P is generated on the front side of the stopping blade 9 and then the extension stopping blade 9a of the stopping blade 9 bites into the wall of a drilled hole 4 and so can be stopped, and the drilled earth is chopped between the agitating blade 7 being rotated and the stopping blade 9 being stopped and is mixed with the soil improving material 6 and agitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
