PURPOSE: To provide a method for defatting compact and a furnace having a defatting structure in which safety is high and defatting effect is excellent. ;CONSTITUTION: A furnace 1 has a solvent supply unit 3, a solvent cooler 4, an inert gas supply unit 5 and a heater 6. In the furnace 1, binder is removed by solvent, and binder insoluble in the solvent is continuously removed by heat treating.
