PURPOSE:To perform a correcting and elaborating operation for a Japanese sentence corresponding to the application of a user. CONSTITUTION:When correcting and elaborating processing is performed after the input of the Japancese sentence from an input device 1 is completed, a comment representing the fact that different notation is mixed in the sentence is displayed on a display device 5 when such fact exists. When the comment is selected by a selector 6 and a different notation character string in the sentence is pointed out on a screen, an instruction to unify the notation to either one kind of notation is issued to the user, and the user unifies the notation by the intention of the user oneself based on a displayed content.
