PURPOSE:To provide a pressure fluctuation reducing method at ventilation of at a cell capable of reducing the pressure fluctuation on anode side generated at sending anode gas to a fuel cell and of reducing the differential pressure between electrodes generated between anode and cathode. CONSTITUTION:This method is provided with an anode bypass line 16, anode line cutoff valves 31, 32, and an anode bypass cutoff valve 35. An inert gas is sealed on the anode side of a fuel cell to stop the fuel cell. Then, the anode bypass cutoff valve 35 is opened as the anode line cutoff valves 31, 32 are still, closed, when the operation of the fuel cell is restarted, to pass anode gas through the anode bypass line 16, and the anode line cutoff valves 31, 32 are then opened. After the lapse of a determined time, the anode bypass cutoff valve 35 is closed.
