METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXTRACTING CONTROL SIGNAL FOR FITTING BACKGROUND SIGNAL INTO FOREGROUND SIGNAL PART

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a color edge on the edge part of a foreground by specifying a method for extracting a control signal for fitting a background signal so that an equilibrium area is brought close to a color expressing the foreground. ;CONSTITUTION: A control signal for fitting a background signal into a foreground signal fixed by a key color is set to a 1st value when the foreground signal expresses the color of a key color area, set up to a 2nd value at the time of expressing a different color and has a transition range between the two values. A chrominance signal corresponding to a selected key color is supplied to a control signal memory 9 through a multiplexer 12. A digital signal processor 4 calculates the distance between the color position of a pixel in the foreground signal and the color position of the key color. A state that the color position of the pixel of the foreground signal is separated from the position of one or more adjacent pixels by a prescribed distance or more is regarded and color positions not matched with the reference of uniformity is regarded so as to be related to the transition range and the intermediate value of a control signal for a color position in the transition range is calculated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
