CODING SYSTEM CONFIGURATION METHOD FOR PICTURE DATA

PURPOSE:To provide the picture data coding system configuration avoiding non-compatibility of data due to difference from a sampling rate of picture data with respect to picture data entered through coding and compression processing by the JPEG system in a natural picture communication terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A coding peripheral control section 35 of a JPEG coding section 30 relating to coding system configuration method of picture data is provided with a picture data configuration detection.block buffer control means 36 and a 8X8 picture element block buffer 39. Then a sampling rate is detected from coding data fetched by a coding data input.memory section 55 and the rate is converted into a prescribed sampling rate from the result of detection and the write of expansion result to the block buffer 39 is controlled and picture data are written and stored by each block comprising 8X8 picture elements and expanded in a picture memory section 60.
