METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING INCLUSION IN TUNDISH FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: To remove inclusions in high efficiency by floating up bubbles and circulating the flow of a molten steel with a tundish sidewall and partition walls. ;CONSTITUTION: Interval between a steel receiving hole from a ladle 2 and a discharging hole into a mold 9 is partitioned with at least two or more pieces of the partition walls 7a, 7b, 7c providing plural sideward through-holes. The molten steel 1 flow between the partition walls is made to be a straight flow in a lateral direction and also, on the whole surface between the tundish sidewalls and the partition walls at the bottom surface of the tundish 4, gas dispersion bodies providing plural upward through-holes are arranged. The uniform inert gas bubbles 10 are blown into the molten steel with the gas dispersion bodies. The gas bubbles are floated up while restraining the generation of the diffusion of the bubbles and the circulating flow of the molten steel 1 with the tundish sidewalls and the partition walls.
